Mexico
I took a cross-culturual organizational psychology class and spent 10 days in Guanajuato, Mexico. Josh was able to come down and hang out with us for seven of those days, as well. Guanajuato is an amazingly beautiful city full of culture.
It is also full of bacteria! I spent two of those days with a fever of 102 and on the toilet :)
The beauty though was captivating. I could live there.
Anyway, classes consisted of visiting various human services angencies as well as factory type organizations to compare cultural differences. Considering that I want to open a children's home in Belize, it was very beneficial to speak with organizations regarding the differences in government funding between the US and Mexico and to hear what programs they currently have in place to help children on the streets.

Everyone drives VWs. There was actually a huge riot in Guanajuayo when Germany stopped the production of the bug and they ended up puttin gout one more year of the bug just for Mexico.

My school peeps!!This is the mountain we climbed one day. It supposedly looks like Jesus. He is looking up. The slope starts with the crown of thorns and ends with his chin. We lost our pictures of when we were on top of the mountain, but the view was astonishing and we had a spiritual leader we deamed "Pedro, the Jesus dog".

After we returned to the states, I got a new tattoo. The symbol at the top is the Ananda Joy Logo. It represents the soul's aspiration upward toward God, and outward to embrace all beings in it's quest for enlightenment. The downward curve shows the corresponding descent of divine grace. It flows into an olive branch with represents peace and prosperity.
